Crushing a coin with 2 fingers

Borrow a quarter from a spectator. Next place it between you thumb and first finger. In plain sight of the spectator the whole time, you start to bend the quarter. You bend it so far that the coin is folded in half.

Linking Rings

Posted by MoriVictus in General

MoriVictus
I'm absolutely stunned at the prices most people pay for linking rings; $20 for four steel loops!? Highway robbery. But then it occurred to me how painfully simple it is to make them for yourself. Any craft store of any decent size has steel rings in the leatherworks section (people use them for dream catchers), so all you have to do is buy a little packet of rings, slice a hole through one with a bolt cutter or a pair of heavy wire cutters, give it a bend to widen the gap to where you need it (it's unnoticeable), and file off any nasty edges. For all intents and purposes, they're just as good as any set of stainless steel rings you'd buy at any magic shop (and much better than that aluminium set most starter magicians settle for), and I only spent $4 for a set of four 8" rings and a set of six 4" rings. This may seem like common sense, but I am amazed at the ability of people to overlook the simplest of solutions (hence the fact that we conjurers fool people with relative ease, given a little practice), so I thought I'd share this somewhat common sense revelation so that you can save your coins for palming. Chung Ling Soo (master of linking rings who needs little introduction in a community of magicians) said that part of being a master conjurer is knowing how to make your own trick props. Happy linking, folks.

Magic performance can be perfect if your brave to perform. If you scared, be wary and afraid, your magic perform can be in disorder. On the strengh of my exprience, i can scraped to be wary and afraid be face with spectator. I admit, its to hard perform with many spectator. Not every one can performance like me. Before your perform your magic, you examined your magic prop. Try and test every magic kit. Make your performance happy and cheerful. Communicated with spectator with smile and joke. This can make you certain your performed. Braveness eclipsed everything.

I spent two and a half hours last night 1/5/09 with Aldo and Rachel Colombini as they gave there new lecture on magic. It was a very rewarding evening, Aldo keep everyone laughing for the whole time of the lecture. If you ever have a chance to see them, it will be a day to remember. I highly recommend anyone interested in magic too do so.

Math Hat Trick

Posted by Bruce in General

Bruce

For this lovely piece of magic it is a good idea to have a hat and before you do the trick put in number cards with these digits on. You also need a calculator.

Ask your spectators to choose a number between 1 and 6 and enter it on the calculator. Then follow these instructions:

So have you ever wondered how fire eating was really done? What the trick to it was?

THIS IS DANGEROUS! I HAVE INJURED MYSELF LEARNING THIS AND HOLD NO LIABILITY FOR ANY INJURIES INCURRED!

I don't suggest trying this without a proper teacher, but I can outline the technique used here.
