I think it is more amazing to "melt" a card than a piece of metal (though metal bending looks great) ; it seems less superhuman,more "feasible",sort of "within my range" type of "feat"...Therefore it is all the more impressive. Besides we see the card completely and we get the idea we can "control" the process ... Good trick !
