POSSESSION of supernatural powers has always made for popular
entertainment. Tales of mystical beings, spirits and magical powers
entertained our ancestors but once religion claimed a monopoly on
miracles, what couldn't be understood was feared and punished.
Seven contestants : mediums, psychics, clairvoyants, a "medical
intuitive" and a witch undergo tests to prove their paranormal
abilities.
The One's expert panel - psychic Stacey Demarco and sceptic Richard Saunders - will decide who stays and who goes until the final episode where Australia will decide which of the remaining three psychics is 'The One'.
Do we live in a world where psychics
can help solve crimes, investigate some of Australia's greatest
mysteries or even diagnose illness by mere touch? Prepare yourself for
the impossible as THE ONE suspends disbelief and makes the hairs on the
back of your neck stand up.
The psychics abilities are put to the test under the watchful eye of a
studio audience or on external locations. The psychics abilities are
judged by a two-person panel including Stacey Demarco, a psychic and
metaphysician, and Richard Saunders, vice president of Australian Skeptics.
Each week The One's psychics will showcase their abilities in a series
of studio and location challenges, such as finding a lost child in the
bush or getting inside the minds of well-known celebrities.
Episode 1: In this test, a young boy was "hidden" in an area of Australian Bush
and the contestants were each given 15 minutes to find him.
If Harvard offered a PhD in deceit, this would be it. Award-winning
magician Brian Brushwood takes viewers on an inside tour of bar tricks,
street cons, and scams. If you watch carefully, you'll never have to
pay for a drink again!
Episode 31: How To Predict The Future
What's better than a card trick? Predicting the FREAKING FUTURE,
which is exactly what you'll do in this scam. We call it Pigment
Prediction.
