You tell the spectator to name any card out loud. You then say you are going to call a psychic friend and he will tell you the name of the card you thought of without anyone telling him. The psychic names the card correctly.

This is a simple trick too, but use a little care when you handle the cards. Spread a normal deck of cards face-up on the table. Ask someone to point to any card they want.

Pull their chosen card from the spread deck and drop it on the bottom card. Pick up the deck and give it a couple of cuts. Now spread the deck, face down, and your friends see there is just one card with a different color back. You lift that card out and turn it over - that's right, it is their chosen card!

The following is a deck "stack" that must be set up ahead of time and maintained as you handle the deck. Among other things, by peeking at the bottom card, you can tell what the top card is. This allows you to perform many miracles!!

The effect is that any pack, having been thoroughly shuffled, is placed in the performer's hand, which he holds behind his back, and is then covered with a handkerchief, in which it is securely wrapped. Tutorial: The set up is called the si stebbins (I think)You have to prepare the deck. How you do this is start with the Ace of clubs and add three to get to 4 and after clubs comes hearts.
